Required Leadership Training
Introduction to Girl Scouting
This is a required of all new troop leaders/ volunteers. This training is conducted by a qualified volunteer Trainer or a Field Director and must be completed prior to attending Orientation. Leaders should begin their own "Leader's Notebook", including the materials given to them in this session. For the next available dates, please contact the Field Director in your area.
Orientation
Leaders and Assistant Leaders are required to participate in this course, within 3 months of attending “Introduction to Girl Scouting”. Orientation is an introduction to the Girl Scout program including the Fundamentals, four program goals, Safety-Wise, Girl/Adult partnership, forms, council services, resources and pluralism. This training is also available by “Home Study” at a cost of $2.00
