Sandy Ridge Girl Scout Program and Training Center

camp1

Sandy Ridge Girl Scout Program and Training Center is located in Marlboro County near Bennettsville, S.C. The site includes acres of beautiful sandhills that have been developed for the enjoyment of Girl Scouts. Activity facilities include a swimming pool, two lakes, an archery range, sports fields, a clay pit and an air conditioned dining hall. The housing facilities are cabins with two (Windy Hill and Whispering Pines) heated and air-conditioned units, making Sandy Ridge ideal for year-round use. To get a detailed look at our accommodations, please check out a gallery of site photos here.

Sandy Ridge is open daily for independent troop camping and events. Staff and or volunteers run program events one weekend each month. The 2013 Resident Camp season will run June 16-August 9. The schedule of events, which includes some teaser information for camp 2013, is labeled camp 12-13 and can be downloaded below. Please check back in February for the full Resident Camp Manual and information on how to register!

2012 Camp Session: A Look Back

Resident Camp 2012 was a huge success. In the words of one camper, “It was epically awesome.” You can see a summary of our summer in pictures by viewing a video of some of the 2012 activities. Not only did campers have an amazing time, but 96 percent of girls said they felt more confident and had developed positive values during their week at Sandy Ridge. Girls (98 percent) also reported they felt part of a group and as if they could speak up for themselves and others after their week at camp. Camp is not only fun, it helps girls build courage, confidence and character!
