Gift of Caring
The “Gift of Caring” activity provides our girls another opportunity to give back to the community. The purpose is to increase the number of troop community service projects.

Each girl who participates in the “Gift of Caring” program will receive a patch and these packages will be included in her overall sales. This is an excellent chance to combine the valuable lessons the Girl Scout Cookie Sale Activity teaches with the timeless value of giving to those who are less
fortunate. The “Gift of Caring” activity is an outstanding service project for girls and their troops.
Upon completion of the requirements, include the girls who participated on the Awards Summary sheet and submit to the SAPSC with your final paperwork to ensure your troops receives their Gift of Caring patches.
Requirements:
- Troop makes a commitment to participate in the “Gift of Caring" activity.
- Troop decides which charitable organization they will visit and present donated cookies.
- Each girl completes her “Gift of Caring” card, identifying her troop’s chosen charitable organization and attaches it to her order
card. Troop role plays asking customers for their cookie order and explaining the “Gift of Caring” activity. - Girls take orders and request “Gift of Caring” donations.
- Troop may use extra packages to fill “Gift of Caring” cookie order.
- Troop visits chosen charitable organization and delivers the “Gift of Caring” Girl Scout Cookies.
