Girl Scout Silver Award®

Highest Award for Girl Scout Cadettes

The Girl Scout Silver Award

silver_award

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. It gives girls the opportunity to show that she is a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving her community.

Girls may work on the Girl Scout Silver Award as a small group or individually. Either way girls choose to earn the award, as Girl Scouts, they are committed to doing their very best at every step. Once the girls complete a Girl Scout Cadette journey, the Girl Scout Silver Award Guidelines for Girl Scout Cadettes will take them through the steps to earn their award. Each step the girls take toward making a difference in the world around them gives them a great chance to learn and grow, which will make their award project amazing.

Taking Action

The Girl Scout Silver Award guides girls to take action with an award project that improves their neighborhood or local community outside of Girl Scouting. The outreach to the community and sustainability of their Girl Scout Silver Award project is what separates this highest award from a service project.

The Girl Scout Silver Award Guidelines for Girl Scout Cadettes and The Girl Scout Silver Award Troop/Group Volunteer Guide provide information, tools and coaching tips for girls as well as leaders and adult volunteers.
