Explorations, Fun, and Best Friends Forever
Being a Girl Scout is about having fun and making friends — but it's more than that. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Tired of the same old stuff? Junior Girl Scouts get to try new things!
Sample Activities for Junior Girl Scouts
- Giving sports, photography, theater and computers a try
- Leading a safe-cycling workshop in your neighborhood
- Taking cool weekend camping trips and learning some new outdoor skills
Troop/Group Leaders
Every Junior Girl Scout belongs to a troop or group guided by leaders who are taught by certified trainers. Leaders partner with girls as they explore new opportunities, learn decision-making skills, and gain the confidence to be trailblazers in service to their communities.
Uniforms and Books
Junior Girl Scouts can wear the Girl Scout Membership Pin, showing they belong to Girl Scouts of the USA, and the World Trefoil Pin, signifying their membership in a worldwide movement. Girls can purchase Junior Girl Scout uniforms with either a sash or vest to display their badges and other insignia. They can also buy the Junior Girl Scout Handbook and Junior Girl Scout Badge Book. Leaders use the Junior Girl Scout Leader Guide Book and Safety-Wise.
