Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina will host it’s Annual Fore the Girls golf tournament on Friday, August 1, 2008 at True Blue Golf Course, Pawley’s Island.
The tournament will begin with registration at 11:00 a.m. with a barbeque lunch. There will be a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. with an awards ceremony immediately following. The format for the GSESC Fore the Girls Golf Tournament will be a four-person scramble (A-B-C-D draw). Golfers of all skills are welcome. Teams will be assigned according to handicap or golfers may enter as a team.
Players will have a chance at four (4) hole-in-one contests throughout the course. Prizes for the designated hole-in-ones include: $5,000 in cash; a choice of Callaway BB 460 or X-20 irons; a premium electronics package, and a choice of airline tickets or a cruise for two!
A putting competition will also be held with the finalist taking a 50’ shot for a chance to win $2,500! Qualifying will be held before the tournament and before the awards presentation. Players may try as many times as they wish to qualify for the finals.
In addition to winning many prizes, there will be an opportunity to bid on items during a silent auction.
The cost for an individual to enter the tournament is $75.00 each. To register for, please contact Jada Shaffer at 1-800-868-9911 or email jadashaffer@girlscoutsesc.org.
All proceeds raised through Fore the Girls will benefit Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina.::: Named one of "America's 100 Greatest Public Courses" by Golf Digest and ranked in the top 10 of Golf Digest's "Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach," True Blue has lived up to its preopening hype. This well manicured layout features vast fairways and incredible elevations. The rolling terrain and native vegetation of this once thriving indigo and rice plantation makes for one of the most spectacular settings in golf. True Blue is a "must play" on your next visit to Myrtle Beach.
