About GSESC

Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls

- all girls -

where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives-like strong values, a social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. Through the many enriching experiences provided by Girl Scouting, they grow courageous and strong.

Key Goals of Girl Scouting: Developing Self-Potential, Relating to Others, Developing Values, and Contributing to Society.

On January 20, 2007 more than 1,000 members from Girl Scouts of Carolina Low Country, Inc. and the Girl Scout Council of the Pee Dee Area, Inc. came together to merge into Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina, Inc., creating a brand new service area that will provide programming and services to 18,000 members in eighteen eastern South Carolina counties. This was a historic transformation that was endorsed by Girl Scouts of the USA .
